Plumstead students have the opportunity to pursue college courses at any time in their high school career. The process of enrolling in a college course varies by school. If a student is interested in taking college courses while in high school, please see our school counselor, Bob Brennan, for information.
Developed by the College Board, the people behind AP and SAT, the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) has been the most widely trusted credit-by-examination program for over 40 years, accepted by 2,900 colleges and universities and administered in over 1,800 test centers.CLEP exams test mastery of college-level material acquired in a variety of ways — through general academic instructions, significant independent study or extracurricular work.
Plumstead’s guidance department works with students who wish to advance their studies and gain college credit by signing up for various CLEP tests. Not every college accepts CLEP credit, but many of our most frequented colleges do accept them. Please see our school counselor for more information.
