Music and Arts Festival

Scholastic Book Fair
Join us in the library for our end-of-year Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair during the Portfolio Party (May 24th–3:00-5:00). All books are buy one get one free, so it’s the perfect time to stock-up for summer reading!
Dress Down Day Cards
The week of May 30th is your last chance to use up any dress down day cards. Normally, Dress Down Day Cards may only be used on Fridays, but this is your chance to use any saved cards before the end of the year. They may be used any day from Tuesday, May 30th – Friday, June 2nd. Read all of the details here.

Plumstead Summer Camps
We are excited to announce that this year we are expanding the PCS Lower School Camps! We are offering 4 weeks of fun and creative camps. ADDITIONAL SUMMER CAMP
This year we will be offering a PCS Soccer Camp. This camp will be held at the Upper Campus the week of June 26-30. We are very pleased to announce that Justin Brautigam and Andrew Johnson will be running this summer camp. Justin and Andrew are PCS graduates, who were captains of the PCS soccer team the won the District Championship in 2014. Both of them currently play collegiate soccer and will be running a fantastic camp this summer. If you are interested in this camp, please click here for more information. Annual Dinner Auction

Purchase of a personalized, commemorative tile!
Now that we have officially opened our new activity center, we are also going public with our capital campaign, “Building for Excellence.” This campaign focuses on Students of Excellence, Faculty of Excellence, and Facilities of Excellence. Please consider purchasing a personalized, commemorative tile that will be assembled into a beautiful mosaic to be part of the permanent bench located in the foyer of the new Activity Center. This purchase contributes to this capital campaign, demonstrates your support of the school, and inspires others to do the same!
PCS art teacher, Mary DeClerico, will hand-craft each tile complete with a custom inscription (e.g. your family name, “in honor of…,” or “in memory of…”). We are also challenging each graduating class to collect enough money to buy a custom tile to represent their graduating class (e.g. Class of 1985, Class of 2025). We are hoping class reps will spearhead these projects, collect the money, and order the tiles. If we sell more tiles than can fit the bench, the mosaic will expand beyond the bench.

PRAYER AND SUPPORT
MOMS IN PRAYER
Having children in Christian school doesn’t mean they don’t need prayer. Plumstead Christian School’s Moms in Prayer International prayer meetings are held at our Middle/Upper School at 8:45 AM most 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month throughout the school year (please check the “UPCOMING EVENTS” at the top of this Plumstead Campus Connection for dates). Please sign-in at the office when you come to pray. Moms from the Lower, Middle and Upper schools are encouraged to join us whenever you are able. We gather together to pray for our children, staff, board members, and school, to impact them for Christ. Any questions, please feel free to call or text Christy Weaver at 732-610-9828.
Plumstead is blessed to have a group of dads who have committed to a monthly prayer walk around the school to pray for God’s protection over each student, teacher, and staff member. They meet at 6:30 a.m. on the 3rd Friday of each month. For the odd numbered months they meet at the Lower School and for the even numbered months they meet at the Upper School. If you would be interested in joining this group please contact Mrs. Miquel or Mrs. Nusser, and they will forward your name and contact information to the group.

Are you an Association Member?
As part of our PCS family, you are eligible to join the Association. As a parent-run organization, the Association serves a vital role in the life of the school. It elects board members who direct and conduct the affairs of the Association. Meetings are held twice per year to provide an opportunity for members to stay informed and be updated on the business affairs of the school. GIANT FOOD STORE A+ PROGRAM
Beginning October 9, 2016 through March 17, 2017, Plumstead Christian School has the opportunity to earn cash through GIANT A+ School Rewards Program. For your purchases to count though, you must have your Giant bonus card registered with the program. If you registered last year, you do not need to re-register. You can visit the website to verify correct school assignment. Also, don’t forget to encourage your friends and relatives to do the same; it could mean more cash for our school! Registration only takes about two minutes.
To register beginning September 14th:
- Log on to www.giantfoodstores.com/aplus select CUSTOMER REGISTRATION to register online using your BONUSCARD
- Once on the site make sure you designate Plumstead Christian School (ID#23521)
After you register your card, each shopping trip at GIANT using your BONUSCARD earns CASH for our school. Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the GIANT website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at http://www.giantfoodstores.com. Our school will receive a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school’s educational needs.
