Our Preschool program uses multisensory materials and age-appropriate activities that help children develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Our goals are to support each child in building healthy self-esteem and respect for others, in a safe and loving environment where children learn through discovery and play, as they develop independence.
Our curriculum is designed to help children develop important readiness skills for kindergarten. They will recognize and build letters and numbers, grow their vocabulary, develop body awareness, socialization skills, and much more.
- Thematic, age-appropriate curriculum specifically designed to prepare each child for the rigors of our kindergarten program.
- Activities include computers, arts & crafts, rhythm and movement activities, large & small motor activities, and Bible lessons.

Our 3-year olds use a theme-oriented approach to studying God’s Creation, including nature, people, families, and communities. In Bible, we look at what God has created and experience it through our five senses, as well as learning about Jesus’s birth, death, and ascension. Academics include colors, numbers, shapes, and the alphabet and letter recognition. Music and movement are integrated throughout the day, and children learn self-help skills such as washing hands, putting on and zipping coats, etc.
Our 4-year olds use the Handwriting Without Tears “Get Set for School” program to learn reading and writing readiness skills through the use of hands-on manipulatives, technology, and letter play. Children learn more about numbers, shapes, and colors, as well as discovering patterns, sorting, and the calendar. Bible time focuses on Noah, Moses, Daniel, David, and Samson. We continue to work on developing “the whole child” through rhythm and movement activities, music, social skills instruction, and physical education.
Our Pre-K class continues with the Handwriting Without Tears “Get Set For School” program and adds both “Language & Literacy” and “Numbers & Math.” In Bible, the focus is on obeying God’s word, which is learned through the example set in many Bible stories. Students begin to recognize the connection between letters and sounds, learn the parts of a book, how to sequence, and how to listen and tell a story. Math skills include comparing, time and measurement, addition and subtraction, and problem solving. Music, motion, and physical activity are all a part of teaching the children body awareness and position in space. Independence skills are emphasized as we prepare the children for kindergarten.
Our Champs group meets on Thursday mornings throughout the school year for a FREE parent and child(ren) play group. They meet at our Lower School for fun and fellowship where parent(s) and their child(ren) can participate in a playtime consisting of free play from 8:30-9:00 am, then structured activities from 9:00-10:15 am.
