By the time students reach fifth grade at PCS, they begin to receive more responsibilities in leadership, organization, and their learning as they prepare for middle school. Various teaching styles are implemented including hands-on activities, workshops, centers, use of manipulatives, etc. to reach the individual needs of the students. Biblical principles are integrated throughout the school day to help students not only grow academically, but also spiritually.
Highlights of the Year:
Students receive their own personal checkbook and keep track of deposits and scholar dollars - classroom sale every quarter
Overnight trip to Spruce Lake
Projects that integrate reading and writing - Newbery Newspaper, Poetry Books, and President Report
Fine Arts Trip to Philadelphia - art museum and Kimmel Center
