Life at Plumstead Christian School is filled with unforgettable moments. The memories you and your children make here will be remembered forever. The Fund for Plumstead helps to create these unforgettable moments by building better campuses, funding activities in and out of the classroom, and making PCS more affordable.
The mission of the Fund for Plumstead is to support Plumstead Christian School in the here and now by providing flexible, immediate funds. By giving, you ensure that PCS has the ability to act on the needs that arise each year.
The Fund for Plumstead is, therefore, integral to the continued prosperity of PCS. Our goal is to constantly increase the resources at our disposal each year, so that the school can respond more effectively to the ever-changing needs of our students, our teachers, our families and our campuses.
We are asking every family to consider making the Fund for Plumstead a priority each year. Greater participation at all levels will increase our ability to meet the needs of students and teachers and to maintain our academically-strong and Christ-centered educational experience.
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you. (Deuteronomy 16:17)
Dear PCS families, alumni and friends,
We are Steve (PCS class of ’83) and Ruth Haines. As graduates of Christian schools ourselves and as parents of three current Plumstead students (Mackenzie 11th, Steven 7th, Erin 5th) we believe 100% in the mission of Plumstead Christian School. We also believe 100% in those who generously take on the responsibility of carrying out this mission by leading, teaching, coaching, and, in general, partnering with us in the education of our children. Because of this, we have agreed to volunteer as the parent chairpersons for the inaugural campaign of the Fund for Plumstead.
It is exciting for us to see our kids enjoy the same school that Steve enjoyed. We feel blessed to have our children in a Christ-centered school where academics are valued and educating young men and women to live a life of devotion to our God and creator is paramount.
Like many others, we realize the financial sacrifice it takes to send one or multiple children to PCS. The economic downturn in recent years has not made affording private schools any easier for families. Still, in light of all of the economic turmoil PCS has maintained their commitment to keeping down the costs to us, the families. No family actually pays the true cost of a Plumstead education; PCS bridges that gap with their fund-raising efforts. Now is the time to show our thanks for these efforts.
Our goal is lofty, yet simple: get 100% of the PCS community to give financially to the annual fund. The collective giving shows unanimous community support and will generate greater results for the programs here at Plumstead. No gift is too small as every dollar brings us closer to our goal.
The primary purpose of the Fund for Plumstead is to keep tuition costs down, maintain and enhance extracurricular programs, recruit and retain high quality faculty, and fund the school’s tuition assistance program. Additionally, an important function of the Fund for Plumstead is funding capital improvements to both of our campuses to create a richer and more productive experience for current and future students. Each gift represents a better classroom, investment in our fine arts programs, more competitive athletics, a new family who can attend PCS thanks to tuition assistance and a brighter future for every PCS graduate. Your gift, no matter the amount, is a statement of 100% pure support for PCS.
Again, we are seeking 100% family participation in this campaign. The campaign runs until June 30, 2012. PCS board members have already pledged 100% of their support for this year’s annual fund. We are asking 100% of the families to reach their goal by the end of March. We ask you to join with us and make a gift today in support of Plumstead Christian School.
